When the Spanish Conquistadors arrived on the Mayan shores, it is said that only the wise shamans of the communities could see the ships out in the water heading towards their shores.  The Mayan people at this point had never seen ships of the kind nor were they ever expecting such a thing to come. They could not literally see what was there. However, because their shamans had expanded their minds and lurked into the dark where most dare not, their expanded conscious minds allowed them to see what others could not.

Consciousness has an extraordinary important part in what we are able to see and experience. UFO’s and other strange phenomenon feels intuitively like consciousness has an extremely important role to play in this because of how these experiences feel when experienced (and you know what I mean if you’ve experienced something) as it has in my own personal experiences.

In Graham Hancock's book "Supernatural" he says that 2% of the worlds population naturally have these experiences with-out the aid of psychoactive plants such as the shamans used to expand their minds to see what others could not (although, their methods provided a way to enter it at will). If this is true, then this number seems to be rising because of the increasing amount of experiences people seem to be having as of the last few years. Instead of one or a few people having experiences together, we now hear of entire cities seeing things happening at once. Yet, the photographic/video evidence always seems to be difficult to come by clear enough to convince skeptics. Maybe because of a connection to mind and phenomenon like UFO's our devices may not be capable of capturing these things as they are experienced as of yet.

Terrence McKenna believed the phenomenon could be something natural that is there to push us along and is why it’s been there from the beginning. In a speech in 1987, Fairmont Banquet UFO conference, Terrence says it best when bringing up how this same kind of situation has presented itself massively before in our history;

"Cast your minds back to the situation in early years of the Christian era. Imagine the mentality of a Roman aristocrat. A person in power of Roman society. There physics is drawn from democracy and atomism. In other words, they are thorough going materialists. Their social theory is drawn from antitheism and Plato. They are, in fact, extremely modern people by our own standards. However, among the gardeners, the kitchen help, and stable boys, there is news of a momentous event in the middle east. A Jewish rabbi has triumphed over death and risen after three days in the tomb. Should a Roman master catch wind of superstitious talk among the help he would have just dismissed it with a sneer. “What a preposterous idea.” And, it is a preposterous idea!

Never the less, the fact that an idea is preposterous has never held back from making zealous converse. And within 120 years after the annunciation of the birth of Christianity its missionaries were beating on the gates of Rome attempting to convert the emperor.

Now, I see a similar situation in the modern context… Rationalism. Scientific technology which began and came out of the scholastism of the middle ages, and the quite legitimate wish, to glorify God through an appreciation of His natural world turns into a kind of demonic pact. A kind of decent into the underworld. Leading to the present cultural and political empaths that leads to stockpiles of atomic weapons, huge propagandized populations cut off from any knowledge of their real histories. Male dominated organizations applying their message of lethal destruction and inevitable historical advance. Into this situation comes suddenly an anomaly. Something that cannot which be explained. I believe that that is the purpose of the UFO. To inject uncertainty into the male dominated paternalistic rational solar myth under which we are suffering.”

Psychedelic experiences can induce one into the world of aliens, sprits, and beyond. It acts like a mechanism to turn on a switch in your mind that gives us the keys to see what has been turned off in “normal” states of consciousness. A doorway that's been supressed by our societies. It seems that possibly, because the UFO experiences are growing over the years that maybe something similar is going on in the general public. This same switch is turning on for people naturally. Possibly because of certain alignments and solar peaks that we’ve been experiences and will continue to increase into 2012. Does this all strike bells? I believe it does.

This is the window of opportunity for everyone to engage their minds and understand that traveling space and interacting with other beings is a matter of our conscious abilities to be able to see things when we as a race are able to do so somewhat collectively. It’s going to increase for the next few years and those aware should take the opportunity to take this advantage to push us into the next Aquarian age.
